April 24, 2025 |The Regional Alternative Child Care Office (RACCO) XII, held a Caravan of Services in Municipality of Maasim, Province of Saranggani.

This Caravan of Services is an initiated strategy of the Regional Alternative Child Care Office with the aim of establishing a sustained partnership and collaboration with the Local Government Units through the P/C/MSWDOs, LCR, MLGOO, LCE, Administrator, LCPC, IACAT VAWC to advocate the Adoption and Alternative Child Care programs and services within their locality and for RACCO team to have a one-on-one assessment of the cases.

Over 20 individuals coming from various sectors and barangays of Maasim, attended the caravan of services of the Regional Alternative Child Care Office (RACCO) XII, where they received services such as Domestic Administrative Adoption, the Foster Care Program, the Simulated Birth Rectification Act (R.A 11222), and also with legal matters and issues pertaining to the primary services provided. Through the one-on-one encounter and assessment of the RACCO Social Workers and Legal officer and the adoption and alternative child care focal of the MSWDO.

The team had set up systematic process where clients were thoroughly assessed based on their testimony and documents presented. From the initial intake they are re-assessed and redirected to the specific RACCO Social workers to provide them technical assistance and orientation on the specific RACCO program that they would avail in relation to adoption or alternative child care.

This initiated caravan of services aims to provide client with the basic and primary services that the agency has to offer and further intensify and advocate the programs and mandates of the National Authority for Child Care to areas where adoption and foster care is not legally evident.
