The adoption journey of a couple started a thousand miles away from their hometown. This couple was not blessed to have a kid. It was 2012 when the couple filed their application in the adoption agency, unfortunately there was no child who has been matched to them, then they decided to proceed their application through intercountry adoption. It was 2016, when their application was accepted in the Philippines. It was literally a long journey for the couple for they have waited quite long to be matched through intercountry adoption. Until, the time came that the couple has been matched to a 6-year-old girl from the Philippines.
May 6, 2025 the couple flew to the Philippines to finally meet the 6-year-old girl. It was an emotional rendezvous on both parties especially to the couple as they have finally about to close their long and inspiring journey of adoption and opens a new chapter as a parent of a child.
This inspiring journey of intercountry adoption touches many lives especially for children who were once abandoned, neglected and surrendered. This reunion tells a story that indeed, a new family was born conquering the distance across the globe.
