A couple who was not blessed to have a child met a mother who wish to have her newly born child to be placed in good family. The case has been simulated as the adoptive parent wishes to have everything in good place. As the kid grew up as an adult, the adoptive parent decided to fix everything legally as they wanted to establish the true identity of the child. Therefore, the adoptive parent went to the Regional Alternative Child Care Office (RACCO) XII to avail the Republic Act 11222 or the Simulated Birth Rectification Act to rectify the falsified records of the adoptee.
Hence, last May 8, 2025 the “Bell of Joy” sounded once more, as the Regional Alternative Child Care Office XII facilitated the adoption of an adult adoptee who is 33 years old. This shows that adoption does not only apply to a child but also to an adult. It was a journey full of positive anticipation and truly a life changing milestone. Now, a child who was once surrendered and simulated now a legitimate son to his adoptive parent.
This adult adoption wasn’t about replacing a past, but building a future filled with love, support and the unbreakable bond of family, proving that family isn’t always defined by blood, but by the love we choose.
